Month 1 of my goal to get 6 pack abs…
Time to get these abs in gear. If you have come directly to this page and are wondering what you are doing here, take a look at my abs adventure. Then come back here and join in on the fun.
Goal for this month – 2 pack abs
Everyone starts with a one pack – you know the look – one continuous curve from the chest to the belt line…
Ugh. Not good.
I plan on DOUBLING the number of abs you can see this month – from one to two! Ok, that may not sound like much of a goal, but it means I lose enough body fat to at least see clearly those top two abs.
Beginning weight – 198 203
Goal weight at the end of 30 days – 183 188
That is an aggressive goal – 15 pounds in 30 days, but should be doable since I am in the early phase and I have more, ok, a LOT more, to lose. It is all about perspective
Plus this will put me close to the Tough Mudder where I will HAVE to run, climb, destroy and generally have a good time against lots of other people and once a tshirt gets covered in water and mud there will be no hiding love handles.
NOTE: I did the Tough Mudder and I did get close to 189/190, but didn’t really track anything. Not making that same mistake this time because it should have been more motivating than it was if I had just stopped to appreciate how far I had come. Maybe one day I’ll post a pic of that – I looked pretty #Beast for a 44 year old.
Like I said in the plan for these abs, having a date, a goal, and an event to shoot for can really help motivation so I’ll be picking out things that matter to me. You should do the same.
Since I like visual progress, I will also be updating the chart below with my daily weight progress on each of the days. At the end of the month, I will add my final chart here as well so for the next month, just check out the days below if you want to see the latest progress report.

Abs – Day 1 – 200 -Down 3 pounds. Good progress!
Abs – Day 2 – Feeling great about my effort and progress today – weigh in tomorrow morning!
Abs – Days 3 thru 9 – WOW!
Abs – Days 10 thru 13 – Ouch!
Abs – Day 14 – Back to the basics!
Abs – Days 15 thru 18 – Some progress, then holding steady. Hmm.
