This is Month 1, Day 2 of the 6 pack abs challenge and I am back again.

On to day 2!
I lost 3 pounds in one day?
I weighed a dead even 200 pounds this morning as I finished out day 1 and started day 2.
That’s 3 pounds less than yesterday! So how did I lose 3 pounds in one day?
The simple answer is, I didn’t. The scale doesn’t lie, and I was 3 pounds down, but most of that is just flushing out my system with good amounts of water, good food, and no salty food that makes you hold water.
It isn’t a permanent thing so I don’t count it as true weight loss until I can hold that consistently. A few days more I guess. Either way, it is fun to see the scale drop so it is a good motivator!
Lose 15 pounds in 30 days?
On my way to 188. 3 pounds down and 12 more to go to reach 15 pounds lost in a month. Simple changes got a good bump start.
Consistent meal plan and nutrition will be the way I hold it and keep moving down. Today is another day I should be able to just clean up my system and keep dialing in…
Today’s food plan and tracking for 6 Pack abs progress:
- Today’s Weight beginning of day – 200 pounds
- Today’s Weight end of day (next morning) – ?
- Goal progress plan vs actual – Goal 2001 – Actual ? so ? overall and ? goal.
- Potential pitfalls specific to today
- My training partner, That Guy, is out of town again, but leg workout is on tap and I can do that without any real spots
- Same as yesterday, I have to do carpool pickup from my daughter’s swim team so I won’t leave work until close to 8 getting home close to 9:15 and dinner hasn’t been prepped – gotta be careful that late
- Boss’ mom is not doing well so I have to pick up some work from him as he travels home to help her. No problem for me, but hope his mom is better soon.
- I have a house I am leasing in prep for moving Friday. Walkthrough is this afternoon right around dinner so I will have to keep out of drive thru line!
- I started this series and it is stressing me knowing there are some little things that are just not right… it shouldn’t, but it does. Mental.
- Opportunities specific to today
- Working late again will give me time to climb stairs, walk on treadmill, do some crunches or get some extra exercise in.
- I already did and will get more chats with some motivating people prepping for the next round of Featured Fitness people. These are great!
- Workout this morning and the bonus miles last night got me really motivated.
- I started back my pushup/situp before workouts this morning – 3:30am and my motivation level was high! Plus I got 160 pushups and 100 situps in before I ever left for the gym.
- Should have another weight drop just due to increased water and lower sodium on my second day.

- Today is going very well so far and less hungry than expected… so far!

- Tomorrow is going to be tough again with the close, move, work, life… Need to keep tracking this early and often!
I will see how the morning weigh in goes and I might come back with the chart with my daily progress – only on day 2, but I want to keep tight track of my goal progress
Thanks again for all your encouragement and support. Abs are going to be here just in time for a nice little Christmas present to myself! Hopefully rivaling “That Guy” or even better, but don’t tell him I said that – don’t want him to see it coming…
