Name or Nickname: Travis LeFever
Age-ish: 38 Height: 5’9” Weight: 175
Where do you call home: Greensboro, NC
How long have you been into fitness? 18 months
Anyone or anything that was your motivation? I set some goals with my kids. One was to weigh 175 lb (from 215). They accomplished all of their goals in 3 months. I couldn’t let them down.
Do you train, compete, or are you just living a fit lifestyle? I am a triathlete. In 18 months I went from the couch to my first half-marathon, first full marathon, sprint triathlon, Olympic distance, Half-Ironman and finally full IRONMAN.
What workouts give you the best results? (Heavy, Reps, Cardio, Xfit…) I enjoy running, and especially swimming. It’s quiet and I can relax and zone out, even swim with my eyes closed. Great workout.
Current “BIG” goal: Ironman # 2.
Before/After pics or story you want to link to? www.willpowerworks.com/about
Best fittie moment: Crossing the finish line at IRONMAN-Boulder.
Biggest fitness struggle? Deciding my workouts were just as important as other things in my life (work, family, friends, etc.)
Proudest body part transformation? Losing my spare tire.
Favorite training plan and/or meal plan? Lean boiled chicken and vegetables. A staple.
Best tip/advice you would give 40-ish men and women trying to get in shape? Learn self-control and habit formation. It’s not in the self-help or how-to or fitness sections of the bookstore, but in the psychology section. Or sign up for my online class How To Create an AWESOME Exercise Habit 😉
Favorite quote or advice you’ve been given? “There are seven magic words in this life: Never give up… never EVER give up.” – my friend Eric Stolz
