Gravity
While running on the hamster wheel in our gyms cardio theater, I was able to pass some time watching the movie Gravity.
I’m sure the movie won a bunch of Oscar awards… personally I don’t care.
40-ish Women Rock
I did notice that Sandra Bullock showed the world how a 40-ish female can alter her body and drop some weight.
Not exactly a fitness model at 40-ish and pushing 50(49 years old), but she looked plenty fine when inside the confines of the space station.
Few women I know, of any age, would wear those shorts and shirt in public and even fewer would rock them the way Sandra did.
Gravity is a force of nature
Anyway… whether you like the movie or not, we can all agree that gravity takes a nasty toll on the human body over time.
You can’t see, touch, taste or smell gravity, but it always shows up daily with its constant downward pull on our faces, chest, legs, and worst of all… our stomach!
Gravity does not discriminate. It spreads its love to all:
- rich and poor
- young and old
- male or female
- and of course the fit and unfit.
How we each deal with the constant effects of gravity is an individual decision.
For me, I am choosing to lessen my load. I am no longer going to carry additional body weight around just so gravity can flex its muscle and show off its untiring strength.
Game on, gravity!
I may have not come out of the blocks like a world class sprinter, but I am gaining ground every step and feeling lighter, fitter, and better every day.
See you at the finish line. I’ll be the guy with my shirt off!
Sincerely,
That Guy
