Time for a few minutes of no BS info on being 40-ish… If you are 20-ish, this article probably isn’t for you.
Just read a great article about Low Testosterone in Time Magazine!
For anyone attempting to turn back father times effect on your body, you should take the 10 minutes to read it.
I know you’ve seen or heard the ads for Low-T or low testosterone for guys or hormone replacement for women. If they are pumping that much money into ads, you know it is a big industry.
One tip though – don’t try to read it while you’re walking on a treadmill…. either exercise or read – not both. Especially if I am waiting on your treadmill and you are at level 1.3! That is for another post so that’s all about that for now!
Taking the ‘Test’ – Pass or Fail
Very interesting change that is taking place among our 40-ish population. There are so many 40-ish and 50-ish men and women who are trying to get in shape and realizing that things have changed with their bodies…
We know many people who are, and are not, taking Testosterone or hormone replacement. Some needed it, some probably didn’t.
Some who are taking it have made big changes to their diet, fitness, and lives so who knows whether it helped them or not, but it seems like it did even if it was just a mental boost.
Others who aren’t doing anything to change their lives in addition to the MAGIC shot aren’t getting the same benefit and wonder why.
Testosterone levels
Testosterone levels peak in a man’s 20-ish years and then gradually drop as we age. Diet, exercise and sleep all play a factor in the speed and amount of drop.
Most guys of a certain age seem to have the same complaints:
- Tired
- No Energy
- Can’t put on muscle
- Can’t lose weight
- Don’t feel like exercising
- No MOJO!
Low T
Mike Sisk, founder of The Low T Center, is making a difference in about 45,000 patients lives!
Check both Mike Sisk and the Low T Center if you have questions. As always, consult your doctor. And just because you are in a “NORMAL” range, don’t assume that is the final word – NORMAL is a huge range for a huge range of ages. Who wants to be like the AVERAGE man or woman.
This industry is getting “juiced”!!!!
From 2.9 million prescriptions in 2007 to 7.5 million prescriptions in 2013.
The FDA doesn’t seem to be jumping in to slow this “cycle” down at all. Whether you approve or not, the Low T prescriptions are here to stay.
With 45,000 patients @ $400 per month Sisk is probably grossing $18 million a year and seems to be opening clinics every month.
Once men become more open about who’s taking and who’s not, I suspect this industry will see even more massive gains!
Go follow Time, Mike, and the LowTCenter and while you are on Twitter follow 40-ish as well!
