Forgive me, but I am “That Guy”. In case you think you know what this article is about based on the title, you are probably right. If you are easily offended or don’t like reality and a little “R” rating then this post, and probably this site, isn’t for you. If so, then carry on…
Driving home through our beautiful neighborhood and I pass a sign that reads “Yard of the Month”.
No doubt the person earned it! Endless hours spent in the yard pulling weeds, watering, mulching, planting and all of that crap… Or they paid someone very well to do it for them, but let’s assume they did the work since I’ve seen them out there… a lot!
I guess some people see yard work as relaxing or a form of exercise. I don’t. To me, it is a necessary weekly chore. I’ll get my exercise in the gym or running down the street. The yard work is just a few extra calories burned for me – bonus calories…
Landscaping the business
This got me thinking about what if that person (yes, I’ve seen them out there and they do need it) spent more time working on physical goals.
Then, just as quickly, my brain took a sharp right turn and I thought of a funny scene from American Pie where Jim’s father is teaching him about female anatomy. I still laugh when he refers to the magazine “Shaved” and states…
I’m not exactly sure what they are referring to here.
Manscaping and Landscaping
So anyway… it seems as though everyone is grooming everything these days… and I’m not talking about yard work.
Where has all of the hair gone?
I can’t recall the last health or fitness magazine where someone was sporting ANY body hair. In years past, women shaved their legs and pits and men shaved their faces. The end.
Only male swimmers could get away with shaving their arms, chest, and legs… for speed. Really? Does the hair on a mans legs actually slow a casual swimmer down… and does it really matter? Definitely not for the casual swimmer.
It’s safe to say we as a society have moved beyond a reason to shave your body. Body hair is out.
I see women with shaved arms, men with shaved arms, chest, legs and heads. Dogs are even bred hairless now!
Whatever your rationale or personal preference… just go with it and OWN it. If it keeps you motivated to work out harder, stick to it. Who F’n cares? If it makes life under the sheets more exciting… stick with it and your partner will probably enjoy it as well.
Let me know what you think about the opposite sex and body hair?
I suspect women can shave whatever they want or make designs Michelangelo would be jealous of and guys will accept it.
What about the guys? Do our female readers prefer a shaved chest, arms, legs, head?
Comment below and let us know what kind of landscaping you prefer.
